Mervin, an experienced, patient and friendly tour
guide will show you the rain forest around Charlotteville and Speyside.
He has excellent knowledge of trees, plants and birds, can also explain
you different remedies from different plants and many more interesting
details. The tours are always adjusted to the fitness of the guests
and he also regularly does tours for 1-2 persons.
The climate in a rainforest is hot and humid; the
area is very hilly with densely growing vegetation and wet or muddy paths. Please wear
appropriate clothes such as long pants, long sleeved T-shirts or blouses and hiking shoes.
Take with you a mosquito repellent, drinking water, some fruits and a salty snack like
peanuts.
The tours begin on the hill around Charlotteville, start on request but not later than
9.00 AM because later you will not be able watch any birds.
The best is to
rent a car (also possible at SUNBIRD
HOLIDAYS) and drive to Charlotteville. If you don’t wish to rent a car,
SUNBIRD HOLIDAYS can pick you up, bring you to Charlotteville and back to your
